Short post today.
I just received an acceptance from Stupefying Stories for my short story, “Thief of Hearts.” Very excited about that!
Also, I’m a finalist in the Writers of the Future Contest for the second quarter of this year, which is hugely exciting given just how competitive and prestiguous that contest is. I don’t know if I won yet or not, but I’ve been walking around with my fingers crossed for weeks now. For the record, doing this is very uncomfortable.
In any event, things are looking up. I’ve more-or-less finished a submitable draft of a fantasy novel set in my Alandar world entitled The Oldest Trick and, in a fit of hubris, have already started writing the sequel because I love the storyline so damned much.
Anyway, back to writing. I need to get going on more projects, because more projects = more submissions and more submissions = more acceptances. It’s statistically inevitable, or so I tell myself. In any event, I’m not going away anytime soon.
Thanks to all of you who visit or read my blog. I hope one day to give you many opportunities to read my actual publications.
